The first set of Oklahoma A&M graduates first organized an alumni organization in 1897. Ever since then, the OSU Alumni Association has been an integral part of the university experiences – connecting alumni with each other and the university while also welcoming Cowboys back to campus for a variety of events and celebrations.
In 1920, the Alumni Association hosted the college’s first Homecoming activities. What started as a small-town carnival is today known as America’s Greatest Homecoming – a week-long celebration that not only draws tens of thousands of alumni back to campus, but also serves to build real-world leadership, communication and collaboration skills for thousands of OSU students.
More recently, the Alumni Association has been able to welcome alumni back to their first permanent home on campus – the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center. Opened in 2005, the facility hosts hundreds of events annually and is also the first stop for prospective students and families when they begin their lifelong journeys as Cowboys.
We invite you to celebrate “coming home” with the Alumni Association by supporting funds for Homecoming and the Alumni Center during Give Orange! Homecoming funds are used to help offset costs incurred by participating student groups while Alumni Center funds are used to help keep the facility in top shape with the latest technology.
