The Office of Student Veteran Success provides comprehensive support to student veterans and military-affiliated students in an atmosphere of respect for their service to the nation. We are committed to helping the military and veteran community achieve academic excellence while at the university and occupational success upon graduation. Through education, administrative services, job advertisement, and community outreach, we hope to further the cause of military and student veterans on our campus and beyond.
In addition to our commitment to academic and occupational success, we also offer access to emergency funds and scholarships to assist student veterans and military-affiliated students with the financial burden of pursuing higher education. Our social center provides a welcoming space where students can connect with peers who share similar experiences and build a supportive community. We also organize a range of programming and events on campus, including workshops and networking opportunities, to help our students succeed both academically and professionally.
“I enjoy working at the Student Veteran Success Center. I am a full-time student and a proud member of the Oklahoma National Guard. At the veteran center, I assist with events and help other veteran students. It is important that we take advantage of the opportunities that are available for our unique situation. So, I made it a priority to ensued that as student veterans, we adhere to our respective branches' orders and that we ultimately succeed in school. I have the chance to develop my leadership skills and to connect with others who also help me along the way.” Malik McGee, Army National Guard, and Student Veteran
“The Office of Student Veteran Success has welcomed me and all military-affiliated students into their center. Coming to OSU as an out-of-state student I was nervous that I would not find a group that would make me feel welcome, but the Office of Student Veteran Success has helped me to create relationships with other military students. My entire life I have been surrounded by supportive military communities and being in this office I have felt the same support throughout my college career. I have been grateful for each of the veterans and military students I have worked with, and I know that these friendships will last a lifetime.” Elizabeth Bert, Military Family Member
