Oklahoma State University's leaders have long understood the importance and utility of a physically thriving and vibrant campus that makes a good impression, instills pride and creates a sense of unity. The campus beautification initiative at OSU provides energetic and interactive features including plazas and courtyards, outdoor spaces, seasonal displays, public art and landscaping at OSU.
A recent focus of campus beautification has been on campus tree plantings and ornamental plantings. Stillwater experienced a very unfortunate Freeze in December of 2022. As a direct result of this event campus lost about 100 of our evergreen trees, and several hundred landscape ornamental shrubs totaling over $85,000 in value. Nearly all of our seasonal color plantings were affected too. Donations to the Campus Tree Planting and Maintenance Fund will support the recovery efforts and continue to ensure the beauty of OSU's campus.
"Our Landscape Services team is working diligently to organize replacement plantings due to the December Freeze. The freeze damage loss of so many plants directly impacts’ the beauty of campus so we are working hard to keep OSU one of America's most beautiful campuses." John Lee, Director of Landscape Services
The initiative is vital to maintaining our student numbers and attracting great faculty. The people who choose OSU become Cowboys and Cowgirls that go on to do great things in our community and world. Your gift will ensure OSU's visual legacy by sustaining this wonderful place where memories will be created for years to come.
