KOSU is more than a radio station. We’re a community organization dedicated to sparking curiosity with stories, resources, events, and information that connect people. We report news in collaboration with the public, not just for the public. KOSU helps Oklahomans understand issues that are important to them and discover new things about our state.
Every month, with the support of Oklahoma State University and members of the communities we serve, KOSU reaches more than 500,000 Oklahomans by freely sharing the content we produce with other media outlets and nonprofits and by publishing on our multimedia channels including podcast, email newsletter, kosu.org, radio, text message and social media.
Oklahoma has a quickly growing news desert, where people don’t have access to basic information because newspapers and commercial media outlets are closing and merging. There are 400 fewer journalists in the state to report news and elevate Oklahoma information and experts into the national journalism ecosystem.
With your support, our independent nonprofit newsroom will never put a paywall between people and the information they need. As a graduate of Oklahoma State University and a KOSU member, you have a special opportunity to boost access to vital information and high-quality journalism for all Oklahomans when you make an additional contribution of $18.90 and you’ll automatically receive this limited edition KOSU Alumni sticker as our thanks!
