The Center for Poets and Writers at OSU-Tulsa offers workshops that are hosted by award-winning writers in the Tulsa community, many of whom are graduates of OSU's comprehensive program in creative writing. Fair compensation is critical to high-quality instruction; at the same time, access and affordability are key to our mission. In order to make our workshops accessible to all, the Center for Poets and Writers provides scholarships for participants with financial need.

The Center for Poets and Writers at OSU-Tulsa promotes the craft of writing and cultivates a thriving, diverse literary arts community. We provide opportunities for experienced and beginning writers to advance their craft and develop professionally; support and partner with organizations in the arts and humanities to maximize scale and impact of programs; and in a spirit of reciprocity, engage local, national, and global individuals and communities to enhance the quality of life in Oklahoma.
