By attending Camp Cowboy, new students get familiar with campus, college life and Stillwater, learn important OSU traditions, build friendships within the Cowboy family, and participate in a service project to connect with the broader community. As a result, students who attend Camp Cowboy are more likely to be involved and stay engaged in campus and community activities throughout their time at OSU, earn higher GPAs throughout college and complete their OSU degrees in a more timely fashion.
We want to grow the capacity and provide more opportunity for new OSU students to attend Camp Cowboy, but doing so requires recruiting, training and supporting a larger number of student leaders to mentor new students during their camp experience and throughout their time at OSU. When you Give Orange to the Camp Cowboy Fund, you ignite the "Orange Power" in new OSU students by helping equip Camp Cowboy student staff with the leadership and mentoring skills necessary to inspire their peers to succeed!
