Transfer and Student Veteran Success

The Oklahoma State University Department of Transfer and Student Veteran Success provides a holistic transfer student experience that encourages academic excellence, personal responsibility, professional growth, and diversity of expression, experience, and culture. Our vision is to be recognized as the central hub for the advancement of transfer student success, student veteran success, and transfer academic support while fostering student support between institutions, pursuing innovative experiential learning opportunities, and translating our discoveries about student success into accessible knowledge. It is compound of three operational units; 1) Office of Transfer Student Success, 2) Office of Student Veteran Success, and 3) Office of Transfer Academic Support. Staff consists of a Director, Veteran Success Coordinator, and an Administrative Assistant. The Department serves over 5,000 students who come from diverse backgrounds and that makes up approximately 25% of the total student body.

The Office of Transfer Student Success is committed to the success of our transfer students. We offer a wide range of services to assist transfer students while they transition to OSU and through graduation including support services related to transferring, secondary academic advising, workshops and seminars, assistance with understanding how and where credits transfer in, activities and events, and other guidance and resources.

The Office of Student Veteran Success provides comprehensive support to student veterans and military affiliated student sin an atmosphere of respect for their service to the nation. We are committed to helping the military and veteran community achieve academic excellence while at the university and occupational success upon graduation. Through education, administrative services, job advertisement, and community outreach, we hope to further the cause of military and student veterans on our campus and beyond.

The Office of Transfer Academic Support Services is committed to serving our partners colleges and universities, and our internal stakeholders by creating pathways to success and mutually beneficial partnerships.
