While Oklahoma State University continues to lead in mental and behavioral health research, education, and patient care for Oklahomans, it is vital we recognize the challenges our own students face and acknowledge the support the Cowboy family needs. In a 2019-2020 study, 42% of OSU students reported that they have received psychological or mental health services, and 76% reported they would consider seeking help from a mental health professional.
Last fall, we launched Cowboys United, a campaign focused on reducing barriers and expanding mental health services for OSU students. With your support, a total of $194,544 was raised in just a few days, nearly doubling our original goal of $100,000. These funds have helped more students gain access to the care they need!
Kicking off on World Mental Health Day, Cowboys United for Mental Health 2023 will once again focus on expanding resources and increasing access to care for every student across the OSU system.
When Cowboys are united, we can accomplish great things!
